- During the WWE Royal Rumble PPV, 'WTR Sunday Night' featured Teddy Hart as a guest on the program. Here are the interview highlights:
* Said the gospel truth comes from him and "not a bunch of marks".
* For last Saturday's Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW) show, Internet speculation insisted that Hart had garnered major heat from promoter Fat Frank, leading into Hart no longer working for the promotion. However, Hart said that it was far from the truth. To listen to the interview, Click Here.
* Hart considers he has a "reasonable relationship" with Nerco Butcher and likes to call him a friend.
* Said he and Butcher both honestly believed the bout setup by Fat Frank was a "ridiculous match".
* Said he likes Fat Frank, but says he's a "f***ing moron" on his own without his input. For the purpose of this point, Hart said he couldn't mention other people in the promotion because they would get upset with the belief of "wrestling is real", and say they do not have a clue what to do in the booking area as well.
* Said he spoke to Nerco Butcher about changing the bout to a Four Way, featuring Ruckus and Jack Evans, but it didn't happen. Hart said this was how he wanted to do it or he would not work the show.
* He became tired of them controlling the show and the belief that fans were not getting their monies worth, thus they decided to do a match with Chris Hero instead.
* Said Chris Hero was "a little upset" about being booked for the match.
* Hart doesn't consider Chris Hero much. He likes him as much as a "hangnail".
* Rather than being fired, Hart said he quit the promotion because he asked for the JAPW World Title to be left in his bag, and he was upset about the promotion going through his things to steal the title belt. To listen to the interview, Click Here.
* Said he doesn't need the title to get over, and doesn't want the title if he cannot take it home with him.
* In his reference to JAPW, Hart said he broke his neck for a promotion that originally tried to squash him and felt that he was being mistreated, leading into him quitting JAPW.
* However, he said he is very grateful for what the company has done for his career. "Without them I wouldn't be here," said Teddy Hart.
* Mentions he would like to entertain the JAPW fans again, but he will not unless the company changes its attitude. "I'm not Samoa Joe and I'm not AJ Styles. I don't need the money, guys," said Teddy Hart.
* Said he could sleep at home with his hot girlfriend in his king-sized bed and collect his inheritance. Hart looks for those to be grateful as he is very grateful for them.
* It was mentioned that he was in talks with JAPW this past week and signs point to a possible return. " I don't know if I'll have my belt, but I'll go back to Jersey All Pro I believe," said Teddy Hart.
* In comparison to other established wrestling-based programs, Hart said it is "up in the air" as to what fans believe overall if the MTV project was a good enough show as a 30-minute endeavor. He uses fast food restaurants as an example to express his point. To listen to the interview, Click Here.
* Said the WSX project has a lot of guys who are very hungry, have street credibility and are looking to make it into WWE one day when they are good enough.
* In reference to the WSX debut show that featured a Battle Royal, Hart said former ECW Extremist Justin Credible was a nice guy, but he thinks Credible was on a "crack pipe" before the match.
* Said Justin Credible was released and will not be featured on WSX shows in the future. According to Hart, the former ECW Extremist had botched a couple of spots."I'm about perfection," said Teddy Hart. He felt it was an entertaining match, but it could have been better.
* Said he has no control over the matches until the second or third season of the project. At that point, he will be able to apply his input to better use.
* Due to Music Television (MTV) being afraid to show him anything, Hart said he had to steal a copy of the highlight reel and some of the matches. About a month ago, Hart said he went to L.A. to check on everything, thus he was able to grab a copy.
* "I really didn't like the editing," said Teddy Hart. He saw the project on a 35-inch screen and said that it is a work in progress. Mentioned the project is also in HD, with very nice cameras and a good looking staff.
* On the opening match between Matt Sydal Vs. Jack Evans, Hart said Evans was hurt for the match. Due to staff not knowing how to film wrestling as a product, Hart mentioned the match went under a total of eleven changes resulting from the pace of the match.
* Twenty minutes into the match, staff realized the importance of having a hard camera (wide shot of the in-ring action). That occurred after the Sydal Vs. Evans match was done five times to acquire better shots. Hart also gives kudos to WWE's production staff. To listen to the interview, Click Here.
* Hart believes it was the seventh match in a row they did before a studio audience for season one.
* The new audience brought in for season two were "mostly real fans that wanted to stay in line and some paid audience that were sitting there," said Teddy Hart.
* For the pilot show, most attendees were paying fans. Meanwhile, other shows that will filmed all at once were attended by bus riders who didn't have to pay, and just wanted to see the product. They were used to help create the overall crowd atmosphere.
* Said he always wanted to work for WWE since he was a kid, and thinks the New Hart Foundation would be very successful.
* "He's my idol," said Teddy Hart on Vince McMahon.
* "When my activities with MTV are finished, I'll be heading straight to the WWE as fast as I can," said Teddy Hart. He would love to be there now, but he is unable to get out of his contractual agreement at this time. He is attempting to get a release sometime in March
* Said if MTV gets a new season, they may not release him. At this point in time, the network doesn't know what is going on.
* WSX has a one season deal. If the project is picked up again, Hart will have a four season agreement with MTV. After the possible seasons are finished filming, Hart could go directly to WWE without trouble.
* Said he knows MTV wants to work with WWE like a "Network Vs. Network" or special guest WWE Superstars on the program.
* Said WWE needs help building stars.
* Believes WSX could serve as a "feeder system" to WWE.
* "The hardest working, most reliable group of people in wrestling right now. Drug free, really, really, hard working and unbelievable psychology," said Teddy Hart in reference to T.J. Wilson, Nattie Neidhart, and Harry Smith.
* Gives credit to Jason Clevett of SLAM! Wrestling for discovering them ten years ago, and says he has to do his thing on television to win back Clevett from being an AJ Styles mark. "I owe Jason probably thousands of dollars in food," said Teddy Hart. To listen to the interview, Click Here. | |
